Comparison
Sentway and ChatGPT Sites
ChatGPT Sites is very good at creating, refining, previewing and publishing an interactive website or a lightweight app without leaving ChatGPT. Sentway is a different shape: a dedicated publishing and measurement layer operated over MCP, so the content can come from whichever MCP-compatible AI you work in, and the responses and visitor activity it collects are stored for that AI to read back.
What ChatGPT Sites are good at
- Creating and refining a whole site inside the ChatGPT conversation
- Previewing and publishing without moving to another tool
- Forms and interactive behaviour in the published site
- Storage and logs as supported by its runtime
- Custom domains where available, and third-party payment providers you wire in yourself
Nothing below is a criticism of that. Sentway is shaped around a different job, and the table sets out where the two differ.
The difference in one line
ChatGPT Sites keeps building and hosting inside one assistant. Sentway is the layer underneath whichever assistant you use: it publishes what your AI produced, decides who may open it, and keeps the record of what visitors did.
Sentway has no editor and no generation of its own, so the authoring stays wherever you already work, including a Claude, ChatGPT or other MCP-compatible client.
Model and client agnostic by design
Sentway is reached over MCP, so the same site can be authored today by one assistant and updated tomorrow by another. Nothing about the page is tied to the assistant that wrote it.
That also means the page is served exactly as your AI wrote it, in HTML, JSX, Markdown, SVG or Mermaid, with no template applied on the way through.
Responses and readback
Submissions, worksheet answers, uploads and visitor activity are first-class records in Sentway rather than something the page has to arrange for itself. Your AI queries them in the same conversation.

Selling access without building a payment integration
Paid Access covers the whole lifecycle: connecting your Stripe account, taking the payment at checkout, and granting and revoking the buyer's entitlement to the protected pages.
The page author does not write a payment integration, and the access decision happens on the server rather than in the page.

Which one to reach for
Use ChatGPT Sites when
- You want ChatGPT itself to create and host the whole site in one place.
- You do not need a cross-client publishing workflow or AI readback of visitor data.
- The site should live on your own custom domain, which Sentway does not currently support.
Use Sentway when
- You want the same site to be authorable from whichever MCP-compatible AI you are using.
- You want submissions and visitor activity stored and queryable by your AI as a first-class feature.
- You want to charge for access without building a payment integration into the page.
Questions people ask
- Can I use Sentway from ChatGPT?
- Yes. Sentway is reached over MCP, so any MCP-compatible client can create the site, publish pages, set the access rule and read the results back.
- Does Sentway build the page for me?
- No. Sentway has no editor and no generation of its own. Your AI writes the page and Sentway serves it unchanged.
- Do I need to wire up Stripe myself?
- You connect your own Stripe account once through Sentway. After that, checkout and the buyer's access to the paid content are handled for you.
