Comparison
Sentway and website builders
Drag and drop site builders are good at what they are for: a company site you design once, keep for years, and update occasionally. Sentway is shaped around a different rhythm. Pages appear because your AI made one for a particular purpose, they are gated to a particular audience, and what they are worth is measured by what came back.
What website builders are good at
- A long-lived marketing site with a designed template
- Visual editing by people who do not write code
- Built-in hosting, domains and commerce for a permanent site
Nothing below is a criticism of that. Sentway is shaped around a different job, and the table sets out where the two differ.
The difference in one line
A site builder is a place to design a site by hand and keep it. Sentway is a place to publish pages your AI produced, as often as the work requires.
If you are building the company website, use a site builder. If you are producing a proposal a week, a deal room per buyer, or a page per campaign, that cadence is what Sentway is for.
No editor, on purpose
Sentway has no visual editor, no templates and no opinion about your design. That sounds like a gap until you notice what it buys: whatever your AI wrote is exactly what gets served, so the model is not fighting a theme system.
Five formats are accepted, HTML, JSX, Markdown, SVG and Mermaid, and each is served as written.
What your AI can read back
Every published page reports. These are the tools your AI uses; plan requirements come from the live tool catalogue.

Access as a first-class setting
Site builders usually assume a page is public. Sentway assumes the opposite is just as likely, so access mode is a per-site setting: public, email capture, verified email, allowlist, or password.
Gating is enforced on the server, so gated content is never sent to a browser that has not passed the check.
Side by side
| Capability | Sentway | Website builders |
|---|---|---|
| Typical lifespan | One page per purpose, created as the work needs it | A site you design once and maintain |
| Who builds it | Your AI, over MCP | You, in a visual editor |
| Design system | None. What your AI wrote is what is served | Templates and theme controls |
| Access control | Public, email capture, verified email, allowlist, or password | Usually public, with optional password on some plans |
| Visitor record | Visits, active time, answers, uploads and completed tasks | Site analytics |
| Reading results back | Directly in the conversation, over MCP | Dashboards and third-party analytics |
Which one to reach for
Use website builders when
- You are building one permanent site and want to design it visually.
- You need commerce, a blog CMS or a full marketing stack in one place.
- Nobody in the loop is using an AI assistant to produce the pages.
Use Sentway when
- You produce pages regularly and each has one audience.
- Access rules matter as much as the design does.
- You want the responses back in the conversation that produced the page.
Questions people ask
- Can I use my own domain?
- Published sites are served on their own subdomain of sentway.page. Sentway is aimed at pages produced per purpose rather than at replacing a permanent company site on its own domain.
- Is there any editor at all?
- No. Creation happens in your AI over MCP, or by pasting and uploading source. Sentway serves what it is given and does not restyle it.
- How many sites can I publish?
- The free plan keeps up to three live sites. Pro removes the limit.
